Public Tours in English during the festival season – From 12.30 on, the piano museum incl. LISZT exhibition is open – 1 p.m. start of the guided tour in English through the piano manufactory.
The scent of coniferous wood mingles with the harshness of carbon in the workshop, whilst tinctures give off hints of oils, waxes and alcohol… As well as offering a feast for the ears, a ‘genuine’ piano workshop is also a sensory experience for the nose. Indeed, it appeals to all the senses of culture-loving visitors with a passion for craftsmanship. There are fewer than ten such workshops left in the world.
In Bayreuth, the Steingraeber piano factory is opening its doors for public tours of the museum and factory. The Steingraeber master piano builders invite you to experience the art of piano-making, together with the historic Steingraeber Rococo Hall and the modern Grand Piano House, as well as the largest Franz Liszt photography exhibition and the original Liszt grand piano.
