Preis: 20 € (students 5 €)

The young clarinettist Ruzaliia Kasimova has already been acclaimed at two concerts in Bayreuth – in the meantime she was a “German Chancellor Scholarship Holder” of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. This time she performs with her new partner at the piano, pianist Valentina Shvetcova, in the Chamber Music Hall with a coherent program from the exciting era of the 1st half of the 20th century – a search for traces . . .

Who knows Paul Juon? The Russian-Swiss late Romantic was a globetrotter, artist and professor between Moscow, Baku, Berlin (where he received the Mendelssohn Prize for composition in 1896) and Switzerland. His late work, worth hearing, opens the concert.

Paul Hindemith’s Sonata in B-flat for clarinet and piano is in the center and the opulent youth work by Max Reger forms the climax and conclusion of the concert.

Program

Paul Juon (1872 – 1940) – Sonata in f minor, op. 82

Paul Hindemith (1895 – 1963) – Sonata in B flat for clarinet and piano

Max Reger (1873 – 1916) – Clarinet sonata in f sharp minor, op. 49/
