From studio pianos to concert grands, quality and building principles at Steingraeber always remain at the highest niveau. All of our pianos have sturdy, spruce braces which, along with supporting screws, form a counter support to the frame.
The design of 122 is predicated (reliant) on maximum fullness of sound and tone fundamentals. Models 130 and 138, like our Steingraeber grand pianos, also follow the principles of fine gradations in (degress of) sound, as well as transparency and flexibility of response.
Because all Steingraeber pianos, including our smaller models, are standardly equipped with professional action(s), they are being used by professionals in conservatories and opera houses.
Model 138 is the largest (upright piano) on the world market and sounds like a 6-foot salon grand. With its latest refinements, this top-of-the-line model achieves an exclusivity that
wants for nothing, and was named ‘world’s best’ in Paris. In music conservatories, small halls, and even in churches this upright replaces grands, to which the motto,
“Better a top-notch upright than a mediocre grand,” applies! Available upon request with stronger dampening for chamber music. Deliverable as Models 138 K Classic and B
Baroque.
With our most successful upright, Model 130, you are in effect buying a 160 cm (5’3”) baby grand. Unique to the market, you have the choice of three, different mechanisms:
- the Classic version (130 K and all other models)
- 130 Professional Studio, with faster repetition and sostenuto
-130 PS-Repetition with the addition of accelerated repetition in the bass register
This model was awarded the ‘world’s best’ prize for uprights in Paris. It is often chosen by music conservatories over factory-produced, studio grands, because it is technically
their equal and has superior flexibility of sound. Available upon request with stronger dampening for chamber music; also in Models 130 PS Professional Studio, K Classic and B Baroque,
among others.
Model 122 is ideal for home concerts, study and serious music-making. This model has been used on the stage of the Bayreuth Festival Theater for decades. A particularly special feature is its auxiliary soundboard, providing for color enrichment and projection in the middle register. It is available as Models 122 S Studio, T Tradition, K Classic, and B Baroque.
Theme and Variations: Main Theme, Classic... Second Theme, Traditional... Additional Themes: Professional Studio, Studio, Baroque... These five basic styles can take countless forms, only a few of which can be shown on the following pages: T- Traditional (Model 122), K- Classic (Models 122,130,138), B-Baroque (Models 122,130,138), S-Studio (Model 122), and PS-Professional Studio (Model 130). Please consult our current price list for available woods and furnishings, such as color, shapes and accessories.
The clearly elegant Twist & Change model is especially
successful. Here it is shown being easily moved around. Comes in precious wood, with either glossy black lacquer or satin black finish by means of reversible façades.
